Where can I find a good web page builder?
Man, this is driving me crazy. I know it cannot be this hard. I am trying to build a fairly simple webpage to sell my comic. I just need a paypal link, some examples of art and that’s it, but I have a damn headache.
How can everyone’s divorced 39 year-old mom have a great looking myspace page but the page I create on geocities looks like it’s from 1995.
I want something with a wizard that will lead me through but not look like it is from 1995. Does that exist?
For your needs, picking up an “HTML in 24 hours” kind of book may be better then trying to stumble through some hokey wizard.
These tools are not very forgiving, and can leave you SOL if you ever want to go in and change the generated webpage.
I used for awhile. You could try building a site on there and visit which will give you extra tips to make your site look nice.
or you can just visit the piczopros and just fix up your geocities site using the html tips they give you.
Actually it can be that hard. That is why there are college degrees devoted to it.
You wouldn’t expect to whip out a ruler and a pencil and design engineering components like you’ve been doing it all your life would you? Sure you can make pretty pictures that look like gears and screws, but they don’t hold water in the real world unless you have the engineering knowledge to back them up.
When I was 14 I had a geocities page. Now that I am 25, and I have been programming for 10 years, I can make good pages.
