Database driven website development?
Does anyone know of a good book to buy as a guide/tutorial to database driven websites?
I am a complete beginner for web-page/site development, I have a good basic computer knowledge and have some (limited) experiance computer programming knowledge. Would it be a good idea to start with a basic website development guide before going onto database development?

i have yet to read a book. I learned/still learning everything from the internet. Basic web site dev is easy css etc. database development is more of a planning thing. What i mean is you have to envision how the site will run, store data etc and then develop your db from that. Just watch out for redundant information in your database and i would not suggest you to store calculated results from two db fields/tables.
It is not a book, but it is a great place to start
For a database driven website you will need to learn something like PHP you can find all the best books here
There is a very good book called “how to do everything with php and mysql”
look out for that one!
welcome to web development then,,
u r right, it’s good to know the basic first, it’s just like a door for a house, before u enter the dinning room, u should open that door, and fortunately u already have one key to open it, it’s your programming language, and now u need a guide to take u from one place to another.
books are one of the best things for learning, it’s just like static web,u can read it, but u cant write it, for be more well-versed, u need more asking, complaining and throwing an idea and u look what public say about that, u can take a course(i dont really recommend this one) or you join a forum, lots of programming and web forum in the world, you can join 4 or 5 forums, then u have more friend to share and take.
