How much would be reasonable to charge sombody to make an e-commerce website for them?
The are trying to sell up to 50 different items, and that want me to create the entire thing since i am good a using dreamweaver. The only problem is I have never been paid to make a website i was sure how much to charge. I want to be fair.
I made an entire website and during the planniing phase they said they liked everything then change their minds when they say what else i could do. here is the website, its not completely finish but if you want to check it out to help you answer my question please go ahead and do so.

The simplest way to charge, from your perspective, is a straight hourly rate. That will discourage clients from re-working the product too many times (though edits are part of the natural process). You work 10 hours, you get paid for 10 hours.
If you want to get creative, you could also charge a small fixed fee for the project (or no up front fee), but then agree that you’ll get a little cut of the sales. That’s not a common deal, but something that could work if cash is extremely tight and you’re willing to take a little bit of a risk in return for a shot at getting more money than you otherwise would’ve had you charged just an hourly rate.
As far as what rate to charge, it varies on where you are, your skill level, etc. As a gross generalization, basic graphical web work can go for the $25-$50/hour range. Ruby on Rails developers can get upwards of $150/hour.
