I have always wanted to build my own website and although I am very fond of computing never had the chance or the knowledge how this is done. So I would appreciate any help.

There are many. First decide what kind of website you want. If it’s a blog, just search for “Blogging”, and go from there.
Or do searches for “free web hosting”, “HTML tutorial”, and “Building a website” to start with.
You’ll need some software like dramweaver if you wanna start webdesign. You can get this free on but don’t tell anyone I told you! Also you’ll need to brush up on your HTML coding which you can get here.

There are many sites dedicated to teaching how to write HTML pages.
This is a good stepping stone to more difficult things, such as CSS style sheets and ASP pages.
Give it a try… I have made some websites from learning on my own..
Once you have HTML and tables finished, look up CSS style sheets. They are amazing.

Easiest way to create a free professional website is with Microsoft Office Live Small Business – . It has 500mb of storage and no ads. It has a free online web design tool that allows you to create web pages without coding. Currently, MS is offering a free domain name for the first year.
The best one for an absolute beginner is. they will charge you £35 for a year’s access however for that you get alot of good (proper) templates and all the complicated stuff like guest books and forums are created for you all you will be doing is clicking around and everything else is done for you really.
